Lion & Safari Park is nestled on 600 hectares in the Magaliesberg mountain range 40 miles west of Johannesburg. Trained guides turn every tour into an informative trip as they share interesting facts about the large selection of indigenous animal species. My tour started with an indroduction to two lion prides, and the guide convinced a family member to visit our vehicle for a close-up encounter. We then visited a cheetah enclosure, wild dogs, spotted hyenas, a pack of wildebeest and roaming zebra. Molly the giraffe also showed up for a visit.
